If you are like me and have a Smith and Wesson M&P Metal you will have noticed not much talk about the variation between the polymer frame and metal. There are lots that say they fit the same holster and some that say they don't. I wanted to put this short story together to share some first hand experience.
I have found that the trigger guard on the M&P Metal is thicker than the polymer one. So in short, yes it will fit any M&P holster but you may have to modify the trigger guard area with a heat gun or loosen some screws.
Now the other side of me is all about 1 tool to fit multiple needs, I like this around holsters as well. With that said, did you know that the M&P Metal and Sig P320 both work in the same holster!
We tried the M&P Metal in both a TRHolster belt holster and Safariland ALS. Both of which worked great for the M&P Metal Competitor, M&P Metal 4.25" and the Sig P320 Full Size
