First and foremost, if you do not have one of these, we really recommend getting one. Below is a little info from the factory on these amazing firepits.

We first bought one of these to test it out to see if it was something we wanted to possibly carry in our store, needless to say, we are going to start carrying them. Just the fact that they take coal and wood is a huge plus, and the fact you can power your devices with the built in battery pack and you can get a grill top for it and three great reasons.
These really do work well in the outdoors, obviously you aren't going to hike in with it (you probably could but we do not recommend it) but it would also be a cool additional to any porch at home.
It is not a must have for our camping excursions and have a nice home in the back of our jeep.
I really do like the folding legs and how easy it is to set up on your own and take down. The worst part was installing the handles. I initially did the 'man' thing and put it together without looking at all the parts and needed to take the handles off as they are specific to each side due to the battery pack, who knew (me if I had read the instructions.......)
Powering on the battery pack was simple enough and it has great LED light to show the power level and 'fan speed' for blowing air into the flames. This feature really is great and makes lighting and maintaining the fire simple.
The mesh screen on the outside also helps with airflow but also doesn't get overly hot which is great. The small holes also allow for a nice fire TV and the biggest issue I had when first using it was getting our kids to turn off their headlights to fully enjoy it.
We have not cooked on it yet but that will come and we are excited to grill some steaks at the campsite next!.
